A nice looking viper from the Great White North. |

I just wish my Viper would go up in value to $499! It's a nice guitar but doesn't seem to have much resale value.

Location: Upper Left USA | I'm not trying to be defensive but I recently went through trying to sell a Viper that I thought was worth a lot more than most Buyers did. I do put the one or Two piece bodies above the sunburst four board bodies.
If you had to replace one, and you couldn't buy an Ovation, what would you buy and what would you pay? |

Location: NW Washington State | Seems to me that most people who aren't familiar with Vipers won't pay what we "know" they're worth! A good quality American-made "vintage" guitar, but in the last couple of months they've gone for around $350 on eBay.
I suppose the closest replacement would be a Tele. You can find Mexican versions on eBay for roughly the same price as a Viper. I wouldn't make that trade.

Not that I doubted him, but the first time I let mine out of the cage, I had to say the Miles was right. A GREAT sounding guitar. If I could justify it, I'd want one like this one as a backup. |

When I bought my my 4861, I paid more than the E-baaa average... But I wanted it (and so did someone else) I have since seen the same and lesser quality guitar go for more and less. Some days are better than others.
Go Figure... |
