Oh, and why is Melissa Etheridge soooo much HOTTER on this guitar than she is in real life? |

Seriously, nice work, but not "my style". Now, the "bass boat" sparkle finish on the back of that 1680.... |

Location: big island | sweet ride. i'd like to see this trend return.
in '73 i owned a somewhat customized '73 dodge tradesman 100 van. i say "somewhat" cuz after buying it i was out of money (i was a junior in high school)and could only afford to throw a mattress in the back next to my potted palm tree. my girlfriend's dad saw the setup and blew a fuse. i still have a scar under my right armpit where he sunk his teeth into my flesh. he wanted to fight and i didn't want to hit him. i put him in a headlock and that's when he resorted to chomping down on me.
the cops showed up and sent his daughter home with me. i shoulda gone to the ER to get disinfected and sewn up but never did. |

Funny story...of course, if it would've been MY daughter, that palm tree may have taken root in your colon! |

Location: big island | norseman,
i'd have felt the same way. that's why i didn't want to hit him. her father was also drunk at the time and had just chased us all over town after i picked her up from work. he almost wrecked his car several times during the pursuit and i told my girlfriend we had to stop before he killed himself or someone else. crazy thing is, he was a captain for a local airlines here in hawaii, and was always carrying on extra-marital affairs. i believe he eventually lost his job over one of those adventures. and i've got a permanent reminder of the whole ordeal.
not a palm tree in my colon, just a bite pattern in my skin and pectoral muscle. |

Great story, I'm torn between remembering not getting along with my in-laws (no long term scars though) and having to deal with my daughter's boyfriends now.
I'd have to agree with Norseman, I think a palm tree insertion is in some of their futures. |

Location: Boise, Idaho | This just got me wondering if my father-in-law ever found out it was me who puked on his front lawn. I find myself sympathizing with him when I look at my daughters' boyfriends and wonder if they are ever going to shave, get a haircut or get a job. I think I'd settle for one of the three.
Hey, what was this thread about, anyway? |
