Location: Pittsburgh | Anyone interested in buying a 1768-7 Book Elite. It is flawless and brand new in everyway. It will come with an Ovation hard shell case. I was offered $1000 from guitar center but felt that was kind of low. I was looking for $1300. I can provide pics if anyone is interested |

Location: Pittsburgh | I figured being collectable and considering so few were made it would be worth alot more. They were $1800 new and figured it would at least be able to hold it's purchase price if I sold it outright. I figured $1300 would be a steal. |

If you're not in a major hurry to sell it, set a price, and stick with it.
If somebody wants it bad enough, they'll pay it . . . |

Location: Pittsburgh | Yea, I'm in no hurry. I just figured this would be a good place to start. I really dont want to use EBAY. And I definetly won't sale it less than $1300. I would keep it before I did that. |

I can guarantee you (you guys will back me up, right?), You wont find a nicer guitar than the 1768-7LTD for that. |

Location: Pittsburgh | I realize this is an Ovation forum and hope there is no offence mentioning the Taylor or Guild trade. The thing is I have an Adamas and another Ovation and was looking for some brand diversity. |

Just kidding. No one should take offense here, KJ. I'm not saying they won't, mind you. I'm just saying they shouldn't. |

Location: Bluffton, SC | A coupla folks here just picked up killer Takamine's if you're interested in that line, KJ. Yes, Tak is somewhat affiliated with the Ovation folks but the reason I mention it is not because of the connection but they make some great guitars for a lot less than the price of a Taylor.
Just another opinion. |

Location: Colorado Rocky Mountains | KJ, I was lusting after a Book Elite for months and eventually paid top dollar for one that was virtually unplayed. I paid a lot more than you're asking and have no regrets whatsoever, so hang in there. These are rare models that, arguably, contain the most bling ever put on an Ovation model, which is the very reason I went after one. IMHO, the majority of members here go after tone and sound before bling and rarity, and are very cost consciencious. Even so, the Book Elites are still fetching higher resale than the 1537s, which some consider the best sounding woodtop ever produced by Ovation. Someday, I think that the Book Elites will be much more highly sought after. At least, that's my story and I'm sticking to it. |

If I had the money, I'd buy yours. ;)
Hang in there!

Location: Pittsburgh | Maybe I will just hang onto it. The Adamas I have has such a great sound and the Book Elite is a little thin in sound, especially when I dont use an amp. I was hoping to get something that would sound a little better when "unplugged" But I guess there arent many of these made. Mine has been played maybe 10 times because I always grab the Adamas . So down the road maybe the desire for this guitar will hopefully increase. |

I think I missed something! Which 2002 Ltd. are we typing about? I love the '02 Collectors and want one (someday  ).
KJ,
Have you noticed that, through the judicious use of perpetually lazy typing fingers, this forum has gradually altered your user name over the last two pages from KingJabo to KingJ to KJ? :p I'm still waiting for someone to typo my nickname to Pitch!
On a small aside that might only interest KingJabo:
GO STILLERS!!! :D  |
