Location: CT		One of my little pet peeves is when people re-string O's, and can't line up the round ball ends of the strings with the slots in the bridge. Come ON, people!!!

When changing strings on a 12 lay down a piece of paper on the top face below the bridge then insert all of the new strings (string tubes optional). Then using the old "D" or "G" string cut to about 12.5" insert the string to align the ball ends. Remove upon tensioning.

Double check the D'Addario color chart!

Wasn't D"Addario supposed to change the coloring on the ends? Something more environmentally friendly.

short of an Adamas, this is it when it comes to a twelver.. spectacular guitars.

the 2985 is more comfortable to play, but it has nowhere near the pipes of a 1758 unplugged.

Location: NJ		D'Add experimented with just going to Brass/Silver/Black ball-ends, but scrapped the idea when survey results showed that their client-base were morons that were easily confused (tho, not exactly in THOSE words . . .)
