Open bidding just ended and this was immediately relisted as a Buy it Now for previous minimum bid price.
Besides having a SSB and an unusual color, I wonder why no bids? Price too high? Anyone have any comments?

Location: Colorado | I would love to snag this one as the 2986 is tough to come by. I like the "infinity" inlays, but not too sure of the painted neck for playability.
$500 is a pretty good price if there are no issues with this guitar. That's reasonable enough for a person to upgrade the preamp if they wanted to. |

| that's a really good price for a collectors 12. as long as the neck/action is good... someone needs this as their first venture into the land of the 12s. while I personally prefer the satin or natural necks, the painted/gloss aren't too sticky.

Location: Colorado | I told my wife about this one. Her comment to me was, "Do you want to sell yours and buy this one?" I nearly dropped my Adamas in shock. I then kindly explained to her that I don't want to have just one guitar if that guitar is a twelve-string.
God love her. She tries to understand and be interested because she likes it when I play. |

"Hello."
"Hi Honey, I was sick and stayed home today. Just a bad cold, I'll be fine. The pre-game warm ups start at about noon. What I called for was that the Salvation Army volunteers came by and asked if we had any clothing or items we could donate."
"Oh, good. Did you clean out the garage?"
"No, the garage is OK."
"How about that shelf in the Rec room were you ..."
"Nope, the Rec Room is Ok. But I did do a little cleaning in our closet."
"Oh, good! That sweatshirt you had from college?"
"The fighting Beavers? Yah, right! What I'm talking about is some of those shoes keep piling up and some of the purses you never use. Just who makes that Goo-key? Is that made in USA?"
"((((((((crickets)))))))"
"Yeah, you can actually shut the door now. I left the black pair and the red ones. You know, the RED ones!"
"(((((Danger theme from Jaws)))))"
"Yeah I'd thought you'd be OK with that."
"Oh, yeah, is there any way you can come home and make me lunch? I can't find the can opener... |

Location: Simpsonville, SC | I asked my wife to look at this one for I really need another 12 string and................................................................................................................................................................................. ...........................Sorry for the delay, but the line at the emergency room was long. Twenty three stitches and a slight concussion. Wonder what the reply will be when I show her the Adamas that I want. |

i reckon the issue is more whether or not a lesson can be learned here rather than taught... |

I thought of that after I had posted. I think that two lessons were learned.
Thanks,

| This was amusing!
Well, not THAT amusing. I'm the buyer. You decide if I'm lucky or unlucky.
Either way, the predicted bruising transpired. There's no hiding a giant guitar box on the doorstep.
Search for topic "Advice for detached pickup assy"
Cheers. |

Let me be the first to welcome you to the OFC and to offer my condolenses (sp) on your bruising. Be assured you are not the only one to suffer this fate. I myself am healing nicely since my most recent purchase. You will get used to it and more clever given time. Search the archives for a list of reasons you need another guitar. You should find it most helpful.
Enjoy your guitar and keep us updated on your 'O' affliction. |

Second, how does your new toy play? Any issues to be concerned about?
Congrats on acquiring one of the more rare collector's Ovations. |
