Location: Phoenix AZ | FOR SALE: GLEN CAMPBELL SHINY BOWL 12-STRING
o Original 1969 Glen Campbell 12-String
o Rare 1st generation model with small sound hole
o Deep shiny bowl
o 12 fret bound neck with diamond shape inlays
o Glen Campbell signature on slotted headstock
o Original gold Kluson tuners
o Original paper label, serial no. A-585-A
This is one of the most sought after early Ovation shiny bowl guitars. The original Glen Campbell 12 string with small sound hole and signature on center of slotted headstock. The guitar (and original Lifton hardshell case) is in immaculate condition.
Several years ago I had the top completely refinished by the factory, and you KNOW how good of a job they do! The original inlaid rosette was replaced by the add-on kind, but it was routed and partially inlaid into the existing pocket. Very nice. They also made a replica partial winged bridge out of walnut. The overall setup and playability of this guitar is top notch. And of course the sound is that wonderful Ovation 12-string chorus. I challenge anyone to find a better condition guitar of this model.

Location: Athens, GA & Gnashville | If I hadn't just bought my 69 GC 12, I'd be all over this! Unlike a lot of people, I prefer the bigger hole of the 69. I think most players like smaller holes, though. :D
I'm still thinking about it...hoping someone will buy it before I e-mail Dave. |

Location: Stratford, Connecticut | I remember about a year ago I posted that I wanted one. I think Moody wrote me that his friend was selling one but I may be mistaken. Whomever it was, put a seller of one, at that time, in touch with me. I believe it was around my birthday, March 19th, and that was going to be a present to myself. I got the seller's email from whomever it was on here and had planned to email them back, call, whichever to finalize a sale. Anyways.. my dad suddenly passed after hours in the ER and I had the respirator removed along with my now "stepmonster" at about 2am EST on March 21st. Of course that delayed any thoughts of buying or selling guitars! Soon after that my now stepmonster robbed me of all my family heirlooms that I shared with my dad.. all sorts of gold, jewelry, etc from generations of my "real" mother's family.. bank accounts, cash in the safety deposit box.. it was total turmoil and horror for me from say early May right up to late October with the most insane events EVER happening. I swear it was like "War of the Roses" and still sort of is and I NEVER MARRIED EVER and this was my STEPMOTHER of almost 30 years!
Well, to end the story... I've barely worked for a year.... Depression, aggrevation, whatever.
Right about March 10th I was getting depressed because I knew the anny was coming up....
I got an email from a friend who needed to video a Shaw Blades show on March 21st at BB Kings in NYC.
Well, like a bolt of lightening I went into cold sweats and tingles but it felt good so I immediately wrote back saying I'd do it. I turned down Cheap Trick, Paul Stanley of KISS, lots of these popular new crap bands that were instant $$$$ makers because I just wasn't ready most of the year.. but I was done! My dad had just said it's time for you to get back into what you worked your whole life at. So I went, had a GREAT time... these guys have been heroes of mine and were GREAT to work with and what incredible playing and singing.. all afternoon, all night.
Well, I'm back!
I saw the GC go up!
Got the same feeling...but went into thought and just couldn't pass it up.
Thanks Dave! You're selling to a very happy 40 year old man.. a gorgeous 39 year old guitar and MANY recordings and MANY live performances will be in it's future. I am a songwriter, perfomer and player... I live to be creative musically and that's your new customer!
It's staying in the family.. I'm ALWAYS available at PopeyeKramer@aol.com... always will be... and further contact info, of course, will be with my payment.
Thanks! Thanks to everyone for NOT snagging this one... and God's Blessings from me to all of you!

Location: Up North | Congratulations Michael, and it's good to hear you're starting the healing. I've lost both my parents so I know that hurt, but can't imagine the anger that comes from a betrayal by a step-monster.
Enjoy that shiny O, anything from Tupperware's stable is worth twice what he sells them for.
Timing and job situations always seem to keep me from getting my hands on one. That and having a 1537 at the mothership, waiting for a quote for the makeover. |

It's the best and worst thing that will ever happen to you.
And then consider taking out the personal contact info from your signature - might leave you a little too open...
Nice guitar, and welcome again. |

Location: Stratford, Connecticut | Thanks friends! I always loved this arena. Always seemed filled with good people! Never left a bad taste in the mouth and thanks for the advice and pep talks! It's priceless stuff.. but the GC isn't.. that's the price DAVE! hahahahaa
I'm a BIG believer in karma.. going thru what I'm going thru I BETTER be! hahahaa
Not worried about the contact info because that's the business address and numbers, not home... but the warning is definitely appreciated nonetheless.
Thanks and God Bless!

Depression is a monster, that I know from experience. Although I am semi-retired from professional songwriting and performing, I can vouch for the fact that nothing like a new "old" classic guitar has great healing properties. I love my '69 GC-12, and doesn't even have the good karma that yours has!
Enjoy it,

Location: Stratford, Connecticut | Thanks Buddy, that's GREATLY appreciated. It was a VERY tough year for me, my real mom.. she's 67... all our close friends and family that were so afraid to get involved or in between us.. we all shared the same friends and family but my dad was a victim in this.. as well as me.. we were convinced that she was going to fall into place and do exactly what she was supposed to do. NOW this reads like the most intriguiging LIFETIME movie script it's so sad to say... over medicating.. quick cremation... the lying with a straight face.. killing our family dogs due to neglect or maybe even worse... it's really a wonder I got the strength through all of it to survive but it's only because I hit rock bottom and knew that my dad, God, my famlily were all there spiritually picking my ass up and saying deal with it because your rewards here don't matter.. just wait and see what you get for all your suffering! So get through it.. do your best in this realm.. make the best of it.. be good for God.. the golden rule and all that stuff.
So that's where I'm at now!
Thanks everybody for listening to me preach! hahaha
All the best, God bless!
