Location: Central Oregon | It's time to thin the herd. Since I bought the 768 Custom Elite I don't play the 2002 much at all. It is in excellent condition. No nicks, no scratches, no cracks, no chips. I have played it quite a bit & there is very slight but visible fret wear on the first 3 or 4 frets. Also there is a small area where the fingers of my right hand have made a slightly dull spot in the shine just below the strings & in front of the bridge. I tried to take a picture of it (the one of it in the case) but it really doesn't show up. All that can be seen is some reflections. It's not scratched & I'm sure it could be buffed out but I'm not going to do it. It really never bothered me since you have to look close to even see it. I just want to be sure whoever buys it doesn't have any surprises. One other thing- I like fret markers & the Collectors had none so I put some stick-on abalone dots on it. They'll come right off if you prefer. The case is in excellent slightly used condition. No scratches, cracks or dings, etc, but it has been carried around. I'll take $750 for it shipped anywhere in the lower 48. |

It has a really fast neck & low action. Kind of an acoustic guitar with an electric neck. I sent it back to Kim Keller & had it set up the way I wanted it a few years ago.
It's too pretty to just sit around in it's case. Time for someone else to enjoy it for a while.
Oh yeah, it has almost new Elixirs on it & OP-40 electronics.
Any takers? |

Location: boulder | My absolute favorite collectors, even better then the 2005 and 2006 which I like alot for different reasons. This model has the Hamer influenced neck, feels like an electric guitar neck. killer looks in person. My 2002 never photos well. good common sense preamp w/ built in tuner...man Am I talking myself into it or what?? good luck |

C'mon you guys, you're supposed to be buying this thing, not talking me out of selling it! :) |

Location: Central Oregon | Well I gave it a week & nobody was interested. As soon as I read the "Did you ever sell a guitar & wish you had it back?" thread I started getting cold feet. I can't take it anymore. If you had any thoughts of buying this 2002 your too late, it isn't for sale anymore. I won't throw it in the 'bay. If an OFC member won't buy it I'm keeping it, at least for now. |

Location: Canton (Detroit), MI | I vote with Nils...my 2002 Collectors would be one of the last guitars I would part with. It is a "panel-master", but everything is "right" about it. Good fast neck, pretty top and the sound is excellent.

Location: Tampa, FL | LOL! I was looking for an '03 Collectors a few weeks ago. Then I found the Tak on this forum! Now, I'm playing that. But, please let me know if you ever decide to sell this guitar.
No harm in having two guitars...at least until the house boss tells me one has to go!
Take care,
Mark |
