1982 Adamas 11

I am considering selling my Adamas 11 but.....although the serial number is 3083, which apparently dates it as 1982...this site starts this particular model in....1984!! I am confused and wonder if anyone here has an explanation? ....Probably something quite obvious that I have missed!! The label is normal Adamas 11 and reads....1581-8 Serial no:3083 (Blue)Cutaway....sorry! Regards, David
