I got a call from GARY again tonight!
He says he's sending Dr Tom's new Deacon out tomorrow... via the UPS store.. so that's 1st.
Now.. he says he's got more to sell.
A pre production Viper, and two other very nice Vipers.. prices seemed very reasonable especially on the pre production model.
Also.. Gary called it a "plain jane" Deacon.. I call it a Mahogany Breadwinner. 8 out of 10 condition.. somewhere between VG and EXC and a PARTS Deacon missing only the board and knobs. AND the two MINT Deacon cases.. he's willing to do a package deal.
He thanked me for being a good human being and helping him out like this. I'm just saying this because I want it to be clear that I'm in no way a close friend or relative to Gary I just feel really bad for him and I want to help a brother out and maybe get some good deals for my brothers here.

He still owes $200 on his house bills and when he's out of guitars to sell he mentioned joining the Dali Lama Monks lifestyle because he's all about caring and giving and wants to concentrate on that for his future. Location: GA USA | Just curious, why specifically would he call it a plain jane, and why would you call it a Bwinner? I noticed that he corrected the description on his Deacon to say it was not a Preacher, but a Deacon Deluxe. It looked like a very standard Deacon to me, not a Deluxe.
If I were classifying these, I'd say:
1) Dot inlay = Breadwinner
2) Diamond inlay = Deacon
3) Abalone bar inlay + gold or chrome hardware = Deluxe
Somebody set me straight so I can have a better understanding.
