Location: Anchorage, Alaska | I have decided to sell my Al DiMeola 1769 AD5. It is in mint condition and absolutely beautiful. I'm sure the tide went out a little after they collected the all abalone for this one. Lots of it! Like it has been said before, this is one of Ovations "Flag Ship" guitars. I am looking to get $1100. or so to an OFC member for it. It has the original case and has been set up professionally. The abalone rossett around the sound hole seems to be a bit wider then the newer ones I have seen, and of course it has the carved bridge and abalone binding around the body. Plays like a dream but I have a bad back problem that makes it just hurt too much to reach over that deep body. The only photos I have at this time are the ones in my profile. I will be taking more photos that I can send to anyone interested in the next few days. |

Location: Anchorage, Alaska | I've been lurking in the background for the most part. Been having some pretty serious medical problems and haven't been able to play much. Getting on the OFC just makes me want to play more, but the more I play the more my back hurts and puts me on bed rest. The doctors say I should just put the guitar down for a while. Going in for some ependural injections later this week and hope that helps, otherwise they are going to have to cut me... I've been dealing with this for over 6 months now! No guitar, no golf, no fishing... What's left? |

So I can sympathize with you. I live a daily life of pain management, with(legal)drug use as a part of my daily regimen. |

Location: ms | I'm no doctor but i have had two epidurals. They seem to work for some folks( my wifes neck). The first one helped me for about a week, the next one i had all kinds of trouble with. Its always best to try everything before you get cut on so good luck and hang in there. |

Location: Andover, Hants, England | Hi guys....with arthritis and inflamatory induced pain.
Was reading through and realise there seems to be lots of members suffering in this way.
There is much you can do ...for yourselves...it is a question of understanding how and why these conditions happen.
If I can be of help, please feel free to simply ask!
I am a very practical/logical, non-esoteric B...SH.., kind of Holistic Therapist!
Best wishes,
Dave. |
