| Wondering if by chance someone has a lead on a VERY reasonably priced breadwinner or other solid body for my son.
Someting he could learn on and possibly repair would be perfect.

Location: Stratford, Connecticut | Good luck brother! I just found TWO breadwinners at Daddy Junky Music stores. They were both priced at better than $800 and in really bad shape generally speaking. In DESPERATE needs of setups. The white one was the lesser of the two evils and it still cost me $700 plus tax. The "TAN" one they should still have was in worse shape.. maybe a 6 out of 10 and played and setup terribly,,, they still want $800 for THAT one! It's insane! What bands are using these now? Like the Queens of the Stone Age Ovation Ultra Pauls.. only "up there in price" because some celebrity is playing one? Is that the reason? Geeez!
Talk about ruining a good thing! hahahaaa!

Location: Buffalo,NY | Is a Breadwinner like a Deacon with out the active electronics ? If so I know where one is to be had with out the electronics for $200.

Location: The Great Pacific Northwest | Breadwinner and Deacon both have active electronics.
The Main difference is the Breadwinner is painted finish, the Deacon is stained finish. There are some other differences like bound necks and variations of pickups and bridges over the few years they were made, but mainly... the finish is the first thing to spot the difference. |
