That's correct. Two of Ovations BEST SOUNDING guitars ever made. Depending on who you talk with in the OFC, these guitars always are ranked in the top 2 or 3.
I am offering BOTH GUITARS in a combination package for $2550 shipped (lower 48 states). If you only want one, you can sell the other (that way you determine the price of the one you want to keep).
I WILL NOT SEPARATE the guitars. It is a COMBO sale only. :o
This will probably be the last of the Ovations I sell from my collection and the reason they are the last is because they are some of the best. It took me quite a while before I decided to do this. I could not decide which one I liked best so I decided both would go AS A SINGLE PURCHASE.
If nobody wants both, then they will happily reside in my studio and I doubt they will be offered up again. :)
THIS MIGHT BE YOUR LAST CHANCE to grab an FD14 since they have become more scarce as their reputation has grown. Same thing with the 1719CM. Getting harder and harder to find one.
Guitars are in excellent to near mint condition with original Ovation HS cases.
A couple of extra photos are in my gallery but I do not have time to take any additional ones. I have enough references from prior sales that if I say they are excellent to near mint, you can believe me.
AVAILABLE UNTIL SOMEONE BUYS THEM OR I CHANGE MY MIND! ;) |

You are truely an evil man :p (meant in the best way of course). You know I'd like to take that FD-14 off your hands. I've lost track of the number of times I've asked, hinted, and begged. It won't happen this time either as I don't have the 25.5 big ones to swing the deal.
Someone will be happy. Just not me. |

Just following through on the promised plan. ;)
Some obviously pain me more than others but the line has to be drawn somewhere in the herd.
As I mentioned, if they don't sell (and I will be shocked it they last more than a day or two), it won't hurt my feelings one bit to keep them. |

Balanced rich tone, sounds amazing plugged in, looks like art. And there are only a limited # of these puppies, and less floating around today...

On limited funds you have limited options. Another member offered their guitar, one with some character applied, that I can afford and sell to SWMBO. I'm satisfied.
Stephen will sell his in due time, in fact another member has already spoken up as I understand it.
No need for wolves here.
Peace

Others may feel differently about the value of the gear.
Whether or not it is ethical to step into another thread and offer up the same model guitar for less versus posting it separately in it's own "For Sale" post is subject to interpretation.
Either way, doesn't really matter to me.
Keeping the FD14 is certainly not a problem and were I in the same financial situation as Brad (limited GAS funds), I would have probably jumped on the deal (just as he did).
I hope it works out well for Brad. We have done business in the past and I am sure we will do so again in the future.
Regardless, another new player gets to experience the thrill of an FD14 and it stays in the OFC family. |

Hmmmmmmm.....someone PM's a potential buyer and offers the same model guitar for less.
Not sure what I would call that if not "undercutting".
Brad, don't worry.....were cool. As I said before, I would have probably jumped on that deal also.
I am glad you are getting an FD14 at a price more agreeable to your budget. You will love it. |

I clearly passed on the guitar Stephen was offering. It was after this post that someone else stepped forward with an alternative.
We are splitting hairs on the choice of words regarding undercutting. I guess it is in the perception.
No harm, no foul. Stephen, I sincerely appreciate you trying to work this out for all parities concerned. Maybe next time, and I'm sure there will be a next time, we'll have more success.
Time to wrap up this discussion.

The FD14 has found a new home with an OFC brother to the north.....funny how many of my really nice guitars have made their way into Canada.
Thanks for the interest and again...I am sorry for the short reply.
What type of Taylor did you grab? |

Location: ms | stephent, No need to be sorry, i always enjoy your post even when you mean to be short.People with thin skin don't usually last long around here. The taylor is a 710CE i bought a while back because it had a 17/8 nut and cedar top . Its got a fair amount of dings but the best sound of any Taylor i've played and the neck is just great. I thought it was sold to a friend whos had it about two months but looks like the moneys not gonna work out. Its ok hes a good guy just bad timing. I'm not the biggest Taylor fan but this is a good one, but you know my trouble with dreds so it will most likely have to go. I've always wanted to try a FD14 just to see what all the fuss is about. |

It was the way i found to thank Stephen for the good deal i had with him when i bought his nice red 1881 one year ago ;) ;) |
