Yeah, I saw that when freshly listed. I kinda figgered that you don't really need a Reserve or a BIN on something like that.

Just curious to see where it goes...

What's this worth? The Fishman install wouldn't do the value any good, would it? Would you have to drill out the end-pin hole for the jack installation?

Wayne, I did this on one of my adamas (not the 47RI). I left the original end pin as is and drilled another hole for a 1/4 inch jack. Dave

This is going to have to go into a feeding frenzy in the last few minutes, otherwise this thing will sell for a 1/3 of the price a year ago...
Also, I seem to remember 75 not 200

I'm quite sure there are a lot of eyes on this one, waiting....just waiting.....It will be interesting to see where it ends up. On the other hand, if it sells for 1200.00 & change, there will be a lot of people kicking themselves in the posterior! (me included)

What would happen if you needed to fix a loose brace or something in one of these, with no easy access. Would you have to pull the top?

Good question Bluebird. For that matter, how do you adjust the truss rod with no access plate in the bowl? Earth to mothership . . .

There's a triangular, carved walnut TRC that unscrews from the back.
(you guys need t'study more)

In answer to the brace question . . . don't let it happen ;-)

(the originals have been around for 30+ years so far, and as far as I know, none of 'em(yet) have needed to have it done)

Sure. The question will be whether it tops $3K. It'll be interesting to see where the eBay market sets the price. It's a poor ad for sure, but I bet there are lots of folks watching this one. The snipers are no doubt loading up.

That was fun to watch. $600 worth of sniping in the last 15 seconds. Glad to see it break $3K. Might seem a bit low, but we all know the history of Ovation products in the secondary market. This is almost 90% of what new ones were/are going for.

Thanks Stonebobbo; I know it and that's why I bid what I did: the seller did not respond to my emails about the pickup installation; I am sure he tapped out the endpin hole and not sure about the original endpin; Earlier posts discussed how this might affect the value...I think that is still up in the air...maybe in 10 years it may make a difference...Still, its a really nice guitar. I did notice that the seller noted in the ad that the item only shipped to United States...
NP, there always more guitars... ;)
Blessings...

Thats cool...here is a post from the seller who just got back to me:
The original endpin was replaced with the input jack for the pickup. The hole was slightly enlarged to fit the new jack. Thanks for your interest.

So... I was curious as to where this would go.
Is three thousand a good deal?

BTW did that include free shipping?
...guess not, huh? :p
