Location: ranson, wva | guys,as hard as this is to admit but ive had to move a few of my better guitars. so far ive sold my '69 strat,33 tricone and rickenbacker 360 and my teles localy.
the last on that ive got to move is my beloved adamas w681. i saved for damn near 2 years to buy it but times are getting verry tough now and i need the money for bills and such. im only gonna be keeping 3 guitars, 1114,limited and my academy. this is hurting me verry badly but its my last opiton for me to do but im gonna offer up my adamas for less than what i paid and ill even eat the shipping. if your intrested give me a call 304-702-0282. also for sale is a brand new and i mean brand new marshal 40watt combo. its brand new. $100.00 and ill eat the shipping on that as well. so guys heres your chance to get that great acoustic adamas that you played in the lobby at a great price. has all hang tags and what not. so if you are intrested in either the adamas or the amp give me a ring and we shall talk.....304-702-0282 jason |

Location: SoCal | I talked to Jason... He is OK.
I did not realize that the number programmed in my cell phone was not the new one he had posted.
I have his new address in West Virginia.
Jason did get a fair price for his guitar.
Moving, getting a new apartment, setting up utility, phone, internet access, etc, is taxing... physically, emotionally, and naturally, the timing will always be wrong.
Jason will have a PC setup in a couple weeks. Until then, he will check in with us every now and then from the PC at his parents house. |

| Anyone hear from Jason lately? I sent him $ for the Adamas and amp and have not yet received. I know they were having some challenging times. These were intended to be gifts, and I would like Santa to be able to deliver by Christmas.
If someone can reach out please let him know I tried to send him some prepaid fedex labels cert mail but they were returned.
Looking for Santa's helper... |

| I miss the kid, hope everything's getting better for him and he's getting back on track.
sorry to hear about the unfinished business dealings.. but I'll bet he pops back up eventually..
I did... and I'm feeling much better now :D
many thanks for the patience shown with my own stupidity a couple years ago. I have done what I can to make amends and apologies.

I think I'd be more worried about Jason's wefare than his honesty...... I agree, as Jason was one of the premiere posters and did help out a bunch of people here with repairs and parts. I know for a while, everything he touched seemed to turn to kaka, especially when he got mugged, messed up his eye, etc... I do hope he and his family are ok and that he can make restitution to the people he owes money or items to. I would think someone here knows of a way to contact him, as he had so many friends here. |

| I honestly do not believe this is intentional. I'm sure he'll follow through when it is feasible. Just hopeful I could complete in the next week. We all go through challenging times and was hoping someone had some recent contact. |

| Thanks for your help with this. I also sent an e-mail to the seller after I saw the postings here and the BIN. Still have heard nothing - wondering if I should alert the "new" buyer? To now I've had nothing but great experiences buying from the OFC and will continue to do so (and will plead guilty to grabbing the 1537 and 9 string this week off the Bay...) No greater gift than an Ovation. Thanks again. |

Location: big island | if it was me, i'd email the buyer and see if there is anything to be done about it. not sure if eBay will allow you to contact the buyer or not but it's worth a try.
and you scored on the other two this week! |

| Same here. I originally called Jason about the amp for my nephew. After speaking for a while, I decided to buy his adamas for my brother for slightly more than he was looking for. He did contact me to let me know he received the check, then again to let me know it cleared and that he would be shipping shortly. His wife called proactively as well after that. We spoke intermittently; hence the lack of concern; besides, I've been know to be (way too) patient... Figuring they were still down on their luck, I even sent prepaid shipping labels...
I did contact the seller again as well as the buyer. I filed a report to ebay. No response from either the buyer or seller; ebay did respond and that is progressing. I was advised this evening that there are no pawn shops in the area.
Life's more about relationships than material objects (ok, one might argue that owning an ovation IS a relationship - or at least can impact a relationship with the bride...). As I look at the cancelled check, mail and listen to the messages left on my voicemail, one has to ponder the balance between compasion, understanding, truth and honesty...
I still feel there's light at the end of the tunnel (OK, so there's a little wind trying to blow it out).
Here's to a future post with a happy ending for all... |

did they confirm where the guitar came from?
no pawn shops in the area? maybe an illegal type operation?
why is this whole thread bothering me more and more every day. |

He's got my home phone number, email, he could post here, etc. If he wanted to make contact he would. Sorry to sound cold but sometimes it takes digging yourself out of your own hole to build strength and muscle from the effort. CLICK. |

I have tried all of the numbers folks have sent to me...the parties damaged need to direct their inquiries here: Every State has an office like this and they can be a great help when it seems you have no where else to turn...It will let Jason know this is serious without legal recourse at the present.
