Why do these come along when I'm currently under-funded?...
Nice guitar, no reserve, go figure... |

Mine is pretty much identical to that one and I might be interested in letting it go. Get in touch with me when you have some funds laying around. |

Location: Upper Left USA | Oooh... Fred it has an Optima!
That is a nice one. I would suggest talking with Al about a Contour D-Scale LX though. Fewer long term issues and a bigger sound. |

It would be a very nice get for someone. |

| ...yep, this is the ideal guitar for someone who wants a quality Baritone and has the bucks to compete in the bidding...I can't imagine an LX Longneck would sound much better acoustically... |

The Contour LX will have a lighter bowl, lighter and more readily replacable neck and inlaid epaulets.
Whoever wins come over to my place and I'll provide new strings for both!
Ooh, wait...
HEY ANDREW! YOU NEED THIS LONGNECK!!!!!! |

| This was apparently worth the bucks to the guy who won it. It's encouraging to me as an Ovation fan that this guitar didn't go cheap, because it's not a cheap guitar, it's a high-end Baritone which excels above the others. The fact that it is a mid-bowl makes it even more competitive with the LX models, especially for us 'old-school' guys... :) If I had the bucks it would on it's way to East Tennessee, and well worth it. |

Location: South of most, North of few | Maybe...just maybe the market is turning around for the underrated guitar we all love. By my comment, I was judging by the last prices I've seen the longnecks go for. I see this was a very nice example, but I've bought textured top Adamas's for less than that. I was seriously considering bidding on this one, but when it went past 700, I gave up watching it. |

| Yep....With the bidding going over 700, I thought it might approach 850, or 900 at the most, but with this kind of winning bid maybe it demonstrates more of the uniqueness of the guitar. The only Longneck on ebay, and a high-quality model at that... still wish I'd had the bucks for it, always curious about the sound of the midbowl since they discontinued the ds768. |
