You guys missed out on the the whole "UltraGP" flurry a while back (check Archives). . .

I'm not positive, but I think this MIGHT've been the "going rate" back then, mebbe a little lower.

If yer gonna have an Ovation solid body, THIS is one of the ones t'have . . .

They've gone as high as 3K on Fleabay in the past.

Now that the only high-profile user seems to have switched his allegience to Maton and is no longer seen onstage with a GP, and rarely mentions them in interveiws, I would suspect the ridiculously over-inflated prices will drop somewhat eventually. The GP is an OK guitar for what it is, but it's no Hamer. Just shows the power of hero worship. If you have a GP to unload, now's the time to do it.

I just sent my Phony-SG down-the-road to a friend...
So I need a replacement. But not for THAT much, with dings and tarnish to boot.
But, along with Jim, I have no Idea what something like that is worth.

[apparently, around twenty-four hundred bucks]

I don't think it will sell for that. 1500-1800 is my guess.

I didn't think there were 3 versions of the GP, plus a bass. There were 3 versions of the GS. The GP was a better guitar than the GS, but not 10 or 12 times better.

Same conversation, different day. I wish I still had one of mine. I'm guessing the owner may still get what he's asking. It's a big world out there.

I believe Eastwood guitars made a copy of these now.. I wonder how they compare? Anyone own an Eastwood or know anything about them?
