I thought all of the PDs had the fancy necks with the abalone block inlays. This one looks like a Deacon 12 neck. Did they switch at some point?

SB you are right, something odd I hadn't noticed. My Preacher Deluxe 6 has the abalone inlays, gold hardware and coil tap switches on the pickups. Preacher Deluxe engraved on the pickguard, although I believe the later ones were plain. Interesting.

Those are (or should be) SPS (series parallel switches), not coil taps. Although the Preacher Deluxe 12's were touted as having the block inlays, anything is possible as the necks were interchangeable.
