I thought this would interest the folks on this board. Those familiar with Christopher Guest (of "Spinal Tap" fame) will probably be familiar with a movie he had a few years back called "A Mighty Wind". This movie is a "fake-umentary" about a reunion of 60's folk acts. The "Spinal Tap" guys (Mike McKean, Harry Shearer, and Christopher Guest) appear as a band called "The Folksmen". While I was watching the show, I noticed something: Mike McKean is playing an Ovation Balladeer! This is the first time I can recall seeing an Ovation being played in a Hollywood film.

Is that an original slothead Adamas? Anyone have any trivia about this particular guitar?

Isn't Iffy the one with the "THIS THREAD IS USELESS WITHOUT PICTURES"? If not, sorry for insulting you both.

It went up on May 8th. I saw it on the 23rd. Long gone by then.

Just goes to show that there are treasures out there to be had. Just need to be lucky!

Another O sighting - just switching channels and came upon the HD channel MHD - someone playing a doubleneck 6/12 string - turned out to be the All American Rejects. I couldn't find a video online.
