These visitors were in my back yard last weekend.
And this little fella was outside my son's classroom last Wednesday.
I love living here. |

Not sure AJ would see many kangaroos or Koalas in Southbank, but I'm sure it would tug his heartstrings.

I think Bill could top us though, he had a bear visit his backyard up in Ct and the backyard at Amelia looks like there could be a Gator or two |

Is it just me, or do deer heads and kangaroo heads look strikingly similar? |

You could probably figure that out from the photo here in the northeast corner of my place :D
This is an everyday sighting at our place, unless I'm out running one of my 8 English Setters ;) |

No outdoor cats? (any more?) I had a small outdoor cat that lived the last 10 years of its long life here. She spent a lot of time at the edge of the bluff; it seemed like she enjoyed the view. An eagle didn't get her, but one day I was at the side of the house and saw the cat running like crazy across the yard. Immediately following was an eagle making a steep ascent. I think that the eagle had tried to grab the cat but missed.
I've heard that wildlife biologists find small pet collars in eagle's nests.
I live a few miles south of Deception pass where you took the picture with an eagle in a tree. There are more eagles over Miles' way, around the Skagit River. So many that they have an eagle festival. |
