Hi:
Does anyone know where I could acquire a volume knob for an early-1980's stacked preamp control? The trusty tone knob is fine but he volume knob has done disappeared!

contact John or Kim at the factory.. I've been able to get a set or two from them.. customer service ext 120 for john.. shouldn't cost ya too much.

Best Customer Service on the Planet!

one of these days I'll actually buy a new Ovation or Adamas with a full lifetime warranty.. but couldn't imagine service or support any better than what I've repeatedly received.. for more than fair prices.. ;)

nice guys too...

You'll probably have better luck emailing them. Getting them on the phone is a hit and miss thing. They respond to emails quickly.

actually talked with Kim today... John's out till tomorrow.. but it is phone tag with them.. and he was returning my call... the shiny bowl 12 gets here tomorrow.. and was just greasing the chutes if it needs more help than I can give it... one of the tuners is "slightly bent" according to the seller..hopefully a pair of needle nose will fix it, as they no longer stock the tuner plates for the 1st generation 12s :(

waiting on the sound of Brown x3 this week... :D
a new xeon server for the business... and 2 vintage Os... the old server's gonna be my new multimedia/studio box...

Get a hold of Kim or John. I needed to replace both on my Country Artist.

Ovation has the best customer service.

+1
I talked to John by phone about replacement knobs for m 1617 and he had them out in the mail to me that same day. :D Can't say enough positive things about how Ovation treats their customers.

Got my Mono washer a couple days after I noticed that my OFC guitar had 2 stereo washers and told Al about it. I still can't read that little print they put on there. The guitar is perfect again, even though I thought it would be cool to have the only one of 12 that had 2 stereo jacks. Quadraphonic.

Guys:
Spoke to Kim a couple of days ago. Volume knob is enroute!

Incredible customer service.

I wish the service for the competition was as good. I've purchased guitars for multiple times the amount of this old Ovation and haven't recieved a fraction of the quality response I've received from Kaman.

Keep-up the great service!

Jeff

"Incredible customer service."

Out of all of the heated discussions, soapbox dissertations, He-said/She-said's, Troll-tempted-trail rides and Lemming runs I have witnessed and partook on this site...

...this remains one of the undebatable strengths of the Ovation/Hamer Division!
