My Grandfather (Witkowski) said that same thing in 1930. He packed up a few belongings and headed for America, shortend the name to Witko and the rest, as they say, is history. Come on over, we'll keep a light on for you.
Plus, I compared Polish mailorder brides to Russian ones. No offense to the ruskies, but the polish girls win by a good margin. Bring some of those along with you, OK? Don't worry about guitars, we can take care of that Stateside.

My folks are in Oregon, now, and they don't seem to have as much problem. The University of Portland just named a soccer field after my uncle, but they call it "Pru's Pitch" instead of it's official name. |

The optician showed him a card with the letters 'C Z W I X N O S T A C Z.'
'Can you read this?' the optician asked.
'Read it?' the Polish guy replied, 'I know the guy.' |

ps.
we dont use X in polish alphabet
ps.2
polish names which end on -ski and -cki are sign, that before XIX century that family belonged to Polish nobility. |

I did and asked if the person who requested it was sure the bulb was burned out. I was rebuked with comments about what an idiot I was for asking. Since I am Polish, I was thinking about the old joke as I walked in and plugged in the lamp. Took the new bulb back with me, thinking that sometimes it doesn't take any of us to replace a bulb. |

Nice guitar. Look close and you'll see that it has a fiberglass bowl. This would be a nice grab for someone looking for an acoustic only Ovation. |

Tupp,
Around here the Sewer District is referred to as the "Collections" department. They are in adjoining buildings with the Water "Suppliers".

At $300 that's an incredible buy for an original USA 5-piece neck Custom Balladeer. Be interesting to see what prices another 24 hours will bring.. |

So another one of my electric guitars bit the dust last week - sold one to a friend to get this guitar. Ten years from now, it had better go up in value :)but that really isn't the point - just love to look at a beautiful guitar.
It is now time for a 12 step program  ;) |

I thought it might have made a little more.
I'm more a solidbody collector but I was keen on this, $750 was my limit though, at that it would have still cost $1500AUD by the time I got it home.
Enjoy!! :) |

AussieJames - I really wasn't expecting to win it - thought it would go for much more and I would say bye bye to it but the ovation Gods let me have it for some reason.
Arthur - that one is a time capsule - couldn't believe what type of shape it is in.
I HAVE to stop buying!! Somebody stop me!! |
