Location: Newport,OR | Hope someone can help me here. I'm the original owner of this 1983 1685-8 Adamas 12 string. It was my main instrument up until 2005. I am pretty much done performing, and I hate to see this little girl just sit in it's case. First of all, any ideas as to it's worth? Case is pretty beat up. The lycracord on the back is a little wore, and the gold hardware is showing it's years. Other than that she is without dings or scratches - thanks to the case! I posted a few pic's, more available! Any help would be appreciated, Thanks in advance! Jamrcat

No need to let it sit in the case; put it up on the wall! |

Location: Newport,OR | It's for sale! I was trying to determine it's current value before posting it on ebay! I would rather sell it to someone who appreciates it and would give it a good home, so if someone here wants to make a reasonable offer go for it! I have sold several guitars: 2 Parker Fly's, Fender American Standard Tele and a Godin Acousticaster over the last year, so I know how to pack well. I also know the shipping on this would not be too much. The case was recovered (on the inside) by my wife but the inner flap is not connected though there. Also I bought a new locking latch to go on the outside, but it needs to be riveted on. I don't have a rivet gun but will provide the part and key. It does sound incredible and I will also throw in a new set of DAddario EJ38 Phospher Bronze strings I haven't put on yet! :)
Note: It is serial #3432. I am the original owner. I ordered it in 1983 before this model was made available to the public. Not to offend anyone, but I didn't like all the carving on the Adamas 1, and the Rep for Ovation at the time said I could special order this. It's been a great 12 string for me, especially the ability to stay in tune well! ;) |

Jamrat, you don't by any chance have a fondness for confused Ovation Solidbodies do you? |

Location: Newport,OR | Sorry, I have been downsizing my guitar collection to just a few. This Ovation was my main girl and she begs to be played. I was unwilling to let her go until now. When the dust settles I should be down to 2 very special guitars that are collectors. Funny thing though, I never lost the excitement with this Adamas, and it always stood out in a crowd! I'm definetly going to miss her! |

Location: Newport,OR | This Adamas is still available! I was willing to sell this for far less than Lanaki's estimate - so if anyone here is still interested before it goes to the evil ebay, let me know! Jamrcat |

Location: Newport,OR | Hey guys, I have a very solid committment on this Adamas from a forum member. I'm not in a rush to sell and I definetly would prefer someone here to end up with this. So for now I'm going to say this is a "Pending Sale" If for some unforseen reason the sale isn't completed, I will relist it. ;) |

Location: Blue Ridge Mountains | Thanks Randy...I don't do stocks except through the pension fund of the Conference...so this is an investment that I can enjoy and share with the kids...I had been looking at this for several weeks and everytime I came back and looked at it I was expecting it to be gone...so I've decided to "keep it in the family" in more ways than one...(Thanks Rick)! |

I've had some great conversations with Mike and I'm looking forward to working with him! It is the reason I'm willing to wait to make this happen. By the way thanks for everyone's input and help! ;) |

Wabbit, look for a 42 foot bus with a trailer attached at the Jacksonville airport. It will be Mike and me. |
