I like the black, but I'm not that fond of a round-hole Adamas.

..well, being that I like traditional soundhole Ovation guitars, this would be an interesting model to experiment with...even with all the bad press it's gotten over the years..maybe try some wild string combination, like Rohrbacher Titanium Heavey guage tuned to 'drop B-standard'.. :)

I hear the red-headed step-child has been adopted by an OFC parent... :)

Yep! that's me.. the red-headed step-child of the OFC.

most of mine are beaters/players/scarred... but with help from friends here.. and the Fine service people at Ovation, most of my falling stars have been brought back to life, upgraded, restored or at least partially revived.

and many of those have been passed on to members here and worldwide.

Thing about it is, the center-hole Adamas may very well become one of the more collectible Ovation guitars. And they can't be as bad as they say they are, even though they rated low in the audio profiles. I've only seen them in 'graphite' and 'ruby graphite'. I wonder what other finishes they had?..

I think that they were also made in the Cadillac Green, which looked almost Black unless under strong light or being reflected off of.

Cadillac green, yes, now I remember, but wasn't there a bronze type finish as well. Maybe a graphite-bronze or bronze burst?...
