Hey there,
Any ideas on what to use to remove very light surface scratches and polish on my shiny bowl?
Thanks,
Dan

Meguiar makes a product called "scratch X" available at most auto parts stores. It works on the top also and really makes the finish shine.

Yea but will it work on a Martin? :D

Elevator,

I just realized that you have to be careful with the camera angle when taking a picture of a shiny bowl.

Funny Mike. Yes it does work on a MARTIN. Don't take a picture of the back of a shiny bowl if you are not dressed appropriately. (Dave) :D

Bare footed and shorts IS proper dress for November in Phoenix. Actually, you can't tell but I'm wearing long sleeves. It was freaking 62 degrees out and I was freezing my arse off.

My 1627 is definately Artist depth. I did some digging and read one factory press release that says the bowls for all the 1627 reissues are hand laid fiberglass made from the original molds. The only difference is that mine is shiny finished on the outside. Ovation website also says they are Artist bowls. So I'm really confused Paul if yours is a mid depth. Anyway, the bottom line is that these guitars sound absolutely amazing. Dve
