Location: San Diego | Perfect condition 1987 collector edition. Posting it here before I put it on ebay, however I frankly am not sure what a fair price would be. I noticed the other one for sale and it seems that $1200-1300 is what the market is. At this point I will entertain reasonable offers just to avoid the whole ebay thing. I am the original owner, 63 year old player/guitar aficionado. This instrument looks like new - hasn't been played all that much since I'm really more of a banjo picker. Bought it at Chuck Levin's in DC. Have the original receipt and the original magazine ad that could be framed.

My '87 has become my favorite wood top. If anyone has lusted after a 1537 but wanted a cutaway, this is the one. |

Location: Boise, Idaho | With a couple of them for sale recently, I've been playing mine more. (Trying to justify giving it to my daughter for Christmas and then buying another one for me.) It is just a flatout excellent guitar. I don't use the cutaway. The sound is great and it looks great. Somebody needs to grab this so I don't. |

Location: San Diego | Well, I just got the 1681 I was looking for for a pretty good price, so I will let my 87 go for $1175 and I will pay the shipping within the continental US. Or if you're local to San Diego and can pick it up, you can have it for $1125. |

Location: Boise, Idaho | I got over that problem a long time ago, Phil. With a little effort, you could too. I don't mean to say that I now have the chops, I just quit worrying about my inadequacies. |
