FOR SALE: 50's ERA VINTAGE ROY SMECK UKULELE
o Manufactured by Harmony, Chicago ILL
o Mahogany construction
o Synthetic fretboard
o Brand new tuners and Aquila strings
Wonderful woody mahogany tone. Setup and intonation are perfect. Plays great and sounds great. This is a true vintage piece and at the time was one of the most popular ukuleles on the market. It's got a fair amount of nicks and marks from years of enjoyment. But that's just minor cosmetic stuff. Structually and tonally this uke is solid as a rock. I just installed some brand new Stew-Mac tuners and a new set of Aquila strings. This ukulele is soprano size.
$42.00 delivered to your door in the USA. PAYPAL ONLY.
PM me if interested. Note - I don't have a case for this one but it will be well protected for shipment.

He was haggling with me over the price. Tying to claim that it only had 4 strings, therefore it should only cost 4/6 the price of a guitar. I held my ground as long as I could, but finally caved and we compromised at 2/3. Dave

Yup. It was in bad need of new tuners. But to be honest, these are nice sounding instruments and the tuners and a good set of aquila strings have really brought it back to life. Another Gem in the Lost Art Vintage haystack.
