Have an opportunity to get one for $629, the reviews here are pretty glowing about the Elite T just wondering if this is a good price?

Yeah I know another b******* Ovation. Still the 6778, Line6 Variax sales end today so it's 2 out 1 in :-)

Is
s
it this one?
I was looking at that one, just for entertainment.

Things that I noticed about it...

One, it is seven or eight years old. Which is not necessarily bad.

Two, it does not have a truss-rod cover. So it must have a Kaman bar, and is adjusted from inside the bowl.

All of mine have TRC's. I am told that that means mine all have LX bracing. (but I may be wrong there)

Three, it does have the OP-30 Pre-amp like my 1778T-5, which I think I like... It has all them pretty lights. Actually, all my other T's have the OP-Pro, and I am just now getting used to them. But I really do like the 'pre-shape' on the OP-30 and the OP-24+... (they both have 'mid-shift' which I don't know what that is supposed to do).

Four, it has a nice case.

But Five, he says No Refunds. But he does have 100% rating. (so do I... :p So! I offer refunds)

So Dweezil, is that the Guitar?
I paid $666 altogether for my 1778T-5, and all I got was a gig bag! A damn nice gig-bag, but I still had to buy a case.
I just did a search of the UK eBarf, and there were only two T's, and the other one was 446 pounds or something like that. So that may be a good deal over there. I'm not sure. But...

Not that helpful, huh?

With the kamen bar does it mean the neck has the same profile as the S868? i.e. it's a shallow profile with a slight "V" feel?

Yes. The "V" is because the K Bar needs the room. If you were to shave the V off, you'd cut into the bar.

I got my T for $650 w/case and all the new features PLUS a contour bowl. I would wait for a good deal on a newer guitar. John <>{

If it were me, I'd buy a brand new 2778T, which is the same guitar but with the contour bowl, lx neck, and OpPro. It's one of the guitars that is on huge clearance sale, for less than the buy it now on that auction mentioned above. My eldest just bought herself one and it is a real boomer. Great tone, better than her sister's 1778T Red Flame, and louder.

Check out the big name internet sellers, and of course give Al a call.

Correction, it is 2078T, not 2778T.

On a side-note, both my 1778T and my 2078T sound better than my Flame T...
I believe that is because of the finish. The textured paint sound clearer/fuller than the paint and lacquer (or whatever).

Hey Dweezil, you can get one of the Brand New, Made in Korea T's for around $600! And tell us how it is...
If you get it from a real dealer, you can just send it back if you aren't satisfied.
Since you are in the UK, maybe you don't have that Yankee Made-in-the-USA bias :p

As for the US bias...I have no problem buying a non US or for that matter a US one - hell I love you guys, Frank Zappa was American so by default I tolerate the rest of you ;-)

I am *REALLY* digging my 84C for DADGAD/DADF#AD and have decided to keep at least for the while the S868 as it serves well as a sweet voiced 'blues/all rounder' (lovely with a capo). So the 1537? Well, it's CRAZY BONKERS!

I like to practise on the S868 and then let rip on the 1537 - F*** thats a sweet guitar.

The Adamas arrives this week and I really need to get the album recorded.

The bottom line is I have enought sweet sounding non plugged in Os - when I start recording well let's see...
