Ok, let the games begin: here is my 1987 Collector in Black (#55 0f 100), Kaman Music Group Label, near Mint condition (actually it's nicer than some you'd see in a music store that are new), just back from the Mothership for a checkup; set up, new strings and 100% Bill of Health in original case: Absolutely Beautiful! several hard to see "mustache: finish cracks around the bridge that were checked out, and polished by the Mothership and pronounced "no problem". They were there when I got the guitar. That's it: nothing else! The guitar sounds fabulous: this is a seriously awesome guitar! Look at the pic's and try to find another one! I am only selling because I have decided to thin the collection and this one is something i feel will be a cornerstone in someone's collection! Those who know can testify that this is arguably the finest Collector ever! Most were made in Natural with 108 supposeadly made in Black...I have never seen another! Here is your chance to own Ovation History! Here are the pic's:

I am offereing it this week until Sunday to OFC members for $1250 + Priority Shipping, cased and boxed to your door! PM or Email me pronto! On Sunday, it goes to the Bay with a higher price.
Best wishes!
;)

Sweet Mother of God!

Mike, you may be thinning the herd but I got a feeling that something is heading toward the corral that is really special.

Have you been over at the Tak forum lurking around? ;)

Ix-nay on the aks-tay. Shhhh !!!! We want to keep those to a low rumble. But all kidding aside the 87 collector is a super sounding guitar. I just regrettably sold mine off recently and miss it already.

Whoever buys this is getting a great guitar. Mine is at the mothership being ressurected after being attacked and badly damaged by a renegade window. When it gets back, you can be certain that it won't be sold....

I've see two of them in my Ovation years, and neither were as nice as Mike's.

i knew it was you, jim. the other day i noted your sig line said "97 Collector (soon)" i figured that was a typo... :D or do you have a '97 coming too?

i have not played buku ovations, but this guitar is absolutely the finest one i ever did have the pleasure of strumming. plays so easy and sounds so good. congrats!

You know, I've sold some guitars to people here on the board, but I don't think I've ever bought one from anybody here (except Al, as a dealer). I may have to keep my eyes open and correct that one of these days....

I've bought many of mine from OFCers. I don't sell much, so I haven't sold to any. Every time I think about saying how the 87 is one of the best, I play something else that is just as good, but in a different way. Ovation really makes some wonderful guitars.
