Any chance you can arrange for shipping via Boise? She might agree if I said I had to hand deliver it to Hawaii. |

And I was watching all of these (for recreation, and to boost the seller's hopes).
Last week, it was cheap Elite T's...
Today it's Viper's...
And I missed them all!
Good Score Randy! |

By the time I thought about bidding on the charcoal one, it was outta my reach.
And this one has gone up $100 since I posted the photo....
(but that may be my fault... I can't identify the names no more! :p ) |

I was watching one last year about like that for my son and it went for about $450 as I recall. $270 for a USA made vintage guitar is a terrific price. I have a Viper III and played it a lot for the first few years. You'll love the 2-octave necks. |

I was watching the black one, thought it might go cheap because of the mutilated pickguard. By the time I bid it was past my max. You just never know how an eBay auction will turn out. Randy's looks like a better deal. |

Of all of the solids I like the overall playability and virtuosity of the Vipers. Sunburst is difficult to match with a veneered PG but if something comes to mind drop me a line.
That Maple one that went for $570 is just screaming for a PG in Cherry or Koa! |

When I was living in Japan my girlfriend and I loved putting stuff up on auction and really noticed a lot of great deals ended at times of day/night when it was difficult for regular day people to bid. Of course the highest prices are generally going to be generated when people with jobs can bid. |

Could be ANY reason from looks to the person that bought the natural wasn't around or didn't do a search when the sunburst was available, or someone looking for a natural cause they already have a burst, or it's someone's favorite color, they like the state it's in, or buyer, or ad, or terms or condition or or or or or or....
Seriously, I'm not being sarcastic. The first rule of predicting why or how something sells or doesn't on ebay, is that there are NO rules. |

I saw it, thought about it as I don't have a sunburst but figured 5 of them was enough already.
Enjoy!!!

I bought the burst because of looks. I'd love to have a natural and nutmeg also, in that order, both with maple fb's. |

I have some time off over Christmas and it's my intention to get it happening.
I have a natural V2 and a V3.
Some are still in the US with my mate in Colorado, get em in the New Year.

there is no fretboard wear and slight wear on the fretwires. neck is great, other than a pencil eraser size ding on the back at the third fret. |

i've owned les pauls and a gibson 335, (not to mention a decca!) and this sunburst viper sounds better and is more comfortable than any electric i've ever played. it appears it has sat around for 30 years without being played much at all. it shows a few scratches and dings probably from being moved around and stuck in one closet after another. certainly it hasn't been played alot. it cleaned up very nicely and all the electronics work flawlessly. the neck is amazingly comfortable and quick. and the mailman delivered it on sunday! merry Christmas to me.
randy: "hey honey, wanna see what you bought me for Christmas?"
shirley: "sure babe, wanna see if the dog likes your playing?" |

Oh yeah, I meant to mention that Vipers are very good electric guitars. Is my timing a little off? It feels a little off.
Kidding aside, I just ran across this thread or I would have chimed in sooner. My first electric was a SB Viper, but without the word on the pickguard. Loved it. Played it a lot, for years. Looks like you got a great deal. Nice flame on the back of the neck, yes? Hot pickups, too. Congratulations! |
