Location: big island | wow! i use to own one of these very models. my mom and i initially purchased it in 1972 as a gift for my stepdad. i inherited it several years later. it's a great machine, but alas, i no longer own it. my stepdad had hundreds of pre-recorded reels he got while overseas in the marines. the sound duplication from this unit was the best i had ever heard or imagined at the time.
if shipping wasn't so expensive, i'd bid on it. |

Location: NW Washington State | Looks like a nice Akai- has glass heads and the sound-on-sound button.
I've never understood eBay auctions like this one that say "FULLY FUNCTIONAL ... AS IS with no implied warranties".
If you don't have a stockpile of reel tapes, a JVC cassette deck like this one is nice. Has a pitch control, mic mixing input, and records in both sides.
