Location: big island | i'm not sure about the "collector's" designation but i just spoke with the owner, tim, who said there are no issues with the guitar. few minor pick scratches is all. stacked tone/volume knobber. |

| They're Supershallow's. I've also been watching the two '85 collector 12-strings on ebay. I've never seen one up close before. The finish looks quite different between these two. |

Location: SoCal | Not sure if that is an '84C...note inlaid on 1st fret; mine and ones that I have seen have no inlaid on 1st fret.
Also, understand that there was another finish other than the nutmeg, I didn't remember a sunburst. |

Location: big island | no inlay per the seller. i asked him why he refers to it as a "collector's series" guitar and he said he referenced the guitar's serial number. i don't know enough about ovations to remark on this. |

Location: closely held secret | Can't be an '84. Wrong number of sound holes.

Location: big island | wabbit, that was my first thought. is it an '84, just not a "collector's"? |

Location: closely held secret | It may well be an 84, hard to say without the S/N.
A Legend, not the 84 Collector. |

Location: Seoul, Korea | Can attest to it is not a 84 Collector's since I own one. Tony's posted picture is exactly how the 84 Collector's look |

| Is it a 1667/early 1767 Legend maybe?... |

| So, if I understand it correctly, the 1567 was a silver label Legend cutaway with the volume knob(s) on the shoulder. The 1667 was a silver or blue label Legend cutaway with the volume knob(s) on the waist. The 1667/1767 was a blue or white label Legend cutaway with the op24 on the waist. The Legend cutaway series lasted quite a while. I miss those models. Occasionally an early one comes up on ebay, and it doesn't last very long. |
