| Not sure if this is rare or not and it's not on my list of guitars that people on here have asked me to look for but figured it only takes a second to post.
Title says $350 but when you get in, it shows $400 so I'm sure he'd take $350 or less

The hype about the rarity and being Ovation's only electric isn't true.

No, after you, I insist. It would just end up in my closet with the other unplayed guitars, or worse yet, be disassembled and go into the pile of unstarted projects.
By the way, let me know if you have any interest in that Viper III body I have. I really should be clearing out the project stuff I'm not going to use.

This is right down the road from me...would you also have a matching truss rod cover to go with that pickguard just in case? |

I'm going to try and get a look at this and see if the restorations are within my completely untried capabilities!

Also no original case just a gig bag.
I like how they always list all these things and then assure you that "it is no big deal".
For me, this would be $225-250 tops. |

Location: Boise, Idaho | If somebody close wants to pick it up, I'll buy it, if no one else does first. I may have to sneak a few monthly payments till I can extend it out past my alleged guitar purchase moratorium imposed by SWMBO, but someone can play around with it until then. I've got a Viper on my rather long list of must haves. SWMBO didn't complain too much when I bought my last Ultra GS for about $150 and she's redoing the master bathroom now, so $150 for this will seem trivial. |

I dibbsed that first. :) But if someone can pick it up, they really should keep it for that price. 2stix, I'll send you a functional beater pickguard for postage if you need it- assuming Woody doesn't have something right away.

I was figuring out a way to have my daughter's boyfriend "buy" it from Woody and then give it to me. I'm sure the source of the funds would never be traced back to me. |

Location: Boise, Idaho | Steve, no one needs an electric guitar less than I, although I did play both of mine briefly last night. I just didn't want it to get away so cheap. Mostly I like the looks of it and have been GASing for a Viper off and on between other GAS attacks. If you get it and decide to get rid of it by July, bring it to the NW gathering and I'll send an agent up to buy it from you. That assumes I'm not back in the dog house over some other guitar purchase by then. |

Cases can be hard to find, just keep checking here and on eBay.
Since you're putting on the new pickguard, you might check with the factory and see if they have a replacement switch for a reasonable price. Pots can be cleaned but the switch can get noisy if its had heavy use.

Alpep on this board has some cases and is located in NJ.
If you need a custom PG to convert the guitar to Lefty let me know. It'll look awful strange though! |

Location: Barkhamsted CT | Thanks all, I purchased the guitar to hang on the wall. I've been an Ovation fan as long as i can remember.
So i'll give you the low down on the guitar. Both pots were damaged when the pickguard was broken, no idea how that could have happened. Other than that the guitar is in pretty good shape.
When i met Charlie ( the seller) he said that a bunch of people called today. Guess i was the first. :)
The search is on for pots, original knobs, and a case. |

So about the Viper. Both pots were damaged when the pickguard was broken. Other then that its in nice shape. A little bit of TLC and it will be a great guitar.
I'm now on the hunt for the pots,1/4 jack, original knobs, and a case. |

Lets just say i got a great deal on it. The guys in the factory repair shop are great. I had to have the top replaced on my 82 Pacemaker 12 string a while back and they took care of me then as well. |
