| Looks like the T-Rex is not so dam smart after all! I had the photo load thing down last week when I advertised my double neck in here? Teaching an old dog and all ya know.
No matter really, these are great, great, guitars and sell themselves no matter how bad my photo's are apparently.
Comes with the ovation black case. Used but as mint as they come. No fret wear no blems on the wood.

| Am considering letting the most interesting Deacon made go as well. I can wait for a while on these guitars as I want the best prices. On the Adamas cutaway this is what I paid. On Mr. Rickard's Deacon I will take offers on before I go anywhere with it. And again I will wait, I know it is Tax time and some of us may be getting refunds. I have a custom order I need to pay for and some important things at home that unfortunetly will absorb some of my guitars.
I have a custom made electric guitar that is just amazing I will be selling as well. And of course the Double Neck that I will auction again in a few weeks.
So far there seems to be very very litle interest in here for any of the items that I have been selling on ebay these past few months and I thought I would not bother to offer these here, but these guitars are very tough to find, the deacon is a "one of a kind" and considerd "holy Grail" of all the Deacons so I thought I would give you guy's a heads up. Prices are not a "deal" but a chance to own one of these great guitars. I know I searched and searched to find them back when I bought them.
Email me if you have a serious interest. For a member I can be patient. But I will need to know I can't read minds.
Going to be an interesting year!

| Man, I wish I had the need for a little cash, I'd go for a trade/cash deal on the Adamas 11, but I unfortunately have to go the whole cash deal on this one. I will of course entertain a good offer from any of you guy's, but Ebay will have to provide me with an outlet by mid/late Feb. These higher end Ovations are so hard to find they usually find a buyer. The double neck will be going by then as well. I am willing to hold any of these for you guy's if I have a deposit? I did not do so well with my taxes this year but I will get the rebate later this year.
I am hopeful there are some of you guy's who are getting a good tax refund this year and might want one of the three rare and desirable Ovations I am selling this month.
The J R Deacon is such a rare Guitar by itself and so wrapped in Ovation History, I am hoping someone in here will buy this. It really belongs with someone who is an Ovation guru. I have been told, and I agree that this Deacon is the "Holy Grail" of all Deacon's. It was the model guitar for which the JM Deacon was copied, and has an electronics package from the "Creator" himself that is second to none. The condition is still as nice as ever and between Sam and I there are some new parts some right from the factory. the originals stuff is still here as well. An Ovation Collectors dream as significant as one of the original slotheads to a solid body collector and priced where it will still gain in value through the years.
Anyone priced a mint Deacon lately, if you can find one?
Anyway I don't expect everyone to feel these are upgrade guitars or even as rare as I feel they are but I do think I might get one serious email about one of these guitars before they go away. So far this has not been the case but I am patient.
Thanks for the interest guy's.

Location: closely held secret | Didn't mean to offend, Vince. I guess I just wouldn't consider this an 'upgrade' necessarily, from a 1581. The only difference I see is the carved headstock.
If it was an original slothead, I would feel differently (although I do like the looks of the single side eppis).
And Randy, don't you get me wrong either!! You're offering an awesome guitar for sale, I wish you the best in selling it, and whoever buys it will get a great deal!
I'm just saying (without demeaning your 1587 AT ALL) I would see it more as a lateral move rather than an upgrade from a 1581. Just a different flavor. |

Location: GATLINBURG TENNESSEE :) | You're pretty-much right about it being a lateral move. I just think the Adamas I headstock is bad-to-the-bone. |

| No worries, These are not everyone cup O tea. And I would agree the carving is about the only difference, but it ia that difference that has always placed these in that flagship category of the Adamas line. It used to gaurantee a sale for the value but today??? Not so sure anymore we will see.
NO interest in the Deacon?? I find this very odd. But hey No worries.

| Interest is an offer of some sort. Right? Your's was the "one" and only curious message I recieved. Don't be offended but selling these is not my first choice but selling I am, discusions are for the general posting section.
I have a standing offer from the owner of a local guitar shop for $100 more than I paid for it. But that would be a shame. And I will have to look at it with a price tag on it every time I go in. That would suck. Ya know? and this would be a last resort. I will run a proper ad for this guitar so no one can say they did not see it for sale soon and then go from there.

Location: Feeding Hills, MA | I wasn't offended and please don't take my comment wrong. I just don't want anybody to think that there wasn't any interest in it at all. How could there not be? It's just that any number I could probably give you would be more offensive than seeing it with a price tag on it. I wish I could do better...

| Thanks. I'm considering jsut how many times I might have to go into that shop anyway right now.
Wish our timing was better I'd love to see someone in here get it.
There are actually some nice gitars for sale in here that get less interest than auctions on Ebay. I find this an odd phenomenon myself.

Location: Feeding Hills, MA | It may be a function of what the "regulars" here already have in inventory, which is quite impressive, and those of us that want to be just like you. We would like to be able to play this game, but have to look in from the sideline and cheer you guys on. I would also like to see someone from here get it...especially if it was ME! But if not, at least if someone here gets it, there is always a chance that it will come around again and situations will be better.

| Well like I said I will have to run a "proper ad" for it in here. When I do so I will post photo's like I have for my Double Neck and this Adamas 1. Most of the guy's who would be seriously interested know this guitar quite well. It is a piece of Ovation history, I am proud to own it. I will only part with it for a significant price.
Sam told me about this back when I bought it.

I am going to let one of these 1587's go to a new home. First $2450.00
Double Neck is a real rare find in the USA $1100.00
I will pay the shipping to the lower 48 on any of these for this price.

| OK I listed it and gave this one a more realistic BIN price. Listed the double neck again as well. I know you guys are after good deals and these are not listed cheap but they are a couple of Ovations better guitars and the double neck is a great stage instrument and impossible to find with this finish in the USA.

This one is headed for Ebay soon, it has duel sided eppii's and the #7 color instead of the #8 just a heads up. Once this is gone Al still has one for sale in here, but I am not sure how long that will be true. I know these are expensive but they are just the coolest guitars Ovation ever made IMHO and not easy to find.
Bought this one from Al a few years ago, there is some fret wear starting on the 2,3,4, frets but not to bad, this is a the three band eq and oil finish neck and headstock. Great guitar. has an 87 frequency number.
I am asking a realistic....$2250.00

I played them all (actually, Al MADE me play them), and they ARE killer guitars!!!
Having the SlotHead, I just didn't "need" another 6-string Adamas, and was there shopping for a gigging 12 . . .
Like Randy said, these ARE hard-to-come-by, and they DO sound awesome!!!
The whole concept of "selling" guitars like this is beyond me, . . . but, whatever . . .
g'Luck with the Sale(s). |

| Duel epi's are my choice as well. But these model adamas's are so hard to find, ya buy what you can find. Al's Red one is the same model as this Blue & white one.
I am selling mine very cheap! less than what I paid for it. I had hoped the last two adamas's I sold would go to homes in here but....hey, I understand. This one will be going to ebay soon then Al's guitar will be left. He may not keep it up for sale if things change for him as well, then you will not find any of these for sale again for some time I predict. If I was not in a spot where I need to sell I sure would not do it. They are the best production acoustic guitars Ovation ever made IMHO.
