Location: NJ | Due to some details I will not bore you with. I am selling this guitar from my personal collection.
Adamas 1 1587-2 cutaway. Made in the 90's for export, it has an optima preamp. I consider it to be one of Ovation's best.
I have been using this as my main "stage" acoustic for the past few years. The Adamas 1 combined with the cutaway and a textrued top is exactly what I wanted and needed to play the strage oddball gig I may get asked to play. You may have seen a pic of two of my newphew and I doiong a coffee house gig. look closely I am playing this gutar.
I have a pic available if you want it I will send it. guitar is $3000 shipped comes with a 9158 deluxe case and is in MINT condition.
I promise to wipe off all of my stink before I send it to you.
Interesting trades entertained but probably will be refused.

| I can attest that these are the best guitars made. The sound is second to none, the looks get constant inquiries every time they come out of the case, and they are tough as nails!
I find it amazing there are two, three for sale righ in this forum, and right now! These never come up for sale anymore. One of the ones I have came from Al. His guitars are always perfectly described!

Will you take a third party cosigned out-of-state check from a former Enron Employee?

Location: Boise, Idaho | A smart guitar salesman would send a picture of this to my email address with some clever message like, "Show how much you love your husband, by getting him a red Adamas for Valentine's Day. "Adamas" comes from the Latin word for diamond and I'm sure he'd rather have this than diamonds."
Probably won't work, but it would be worth a try. Somebody much less clever sent a picture of a red Custom Legend with a message like, "Linda, Mark said he'd like a red one for Christmas." That didn't work at all. |

Stephen, I had to abbreviate to get it down to 3 lines. If I start trading guitars as much as you guys, I'll just skip the signature line. Maybe I'll have my daughter set up a website like Tuppy's. |

By the way....got a few nice electrics I need to move....I noticed your electric collection was a bit thin :D |

I have not dealt with Al before.
I see why everyone recomends him sooooooo much.
He is great to deal with!!
This Adamas is better than described and is much more beautiful in real life. The picture did not do it justice.
By the way Al, what are you getting for the 08 collector's, and can you post any pictures? I saw some a while back but am having trouble finding it on this site.
thanks Duane |

I think I better play this one for right now but it is so nice it just makes me want more. I also think the 2008 collector will undoubtedly go up in value with only 100 being made. I hope I get a chance to own on before there gone. They look really nice. I would love to hear one and try it. |

Looks to be 2001 build.
For value, Reverb.com , eBay, and GuitarCenter used listings will give you an idea. The only ones I see with a quick look are in Japan. The exchange rate is inflating their USA value for sure! |

Location: Colorado Springs, CO | If anyone is interested. This same Adamas-1 1587-2 Cutaway 2001 Red that I got from Al back in 2008 which was his personal guitar out of all he could choose to have to play is now listed For Sale on Reverb for $3395. Thought I should offer it back to the family so the buyer may have a greater appreciation of it's history. (Check out the first post on this thread) |
