...If not, the VXT gets a write-up in the current issue and makes the Table of Contents page pic. |

"AG" does give a fair amount of "ink" to Ovation products, and they are usually positive pieces. |

I even saw a Beater one at GC for quite a discount.
No one seems to have one on their signature line tho'...
So, like the man sez, Who Really Owns A VXT? and Why? |

Location: Colorado Rocky Mountains | I own the first custom-spec'd VXT released from the factory. Beal owns one or more as well, and there are others. I've posted numerous times about how it compares with other guitars. Very versatile. I prefer the EA Vipers and other acoustics most of the time except when I need a true electric sound in addition to an acoustic sound, then the VXT works both ways. I was not impressed with the piezo sound until I heard Matt Smith play one on the acoustic setting during one of his sets at Amelia. Then I became an absolute believer. This Sunday, one of our songs requires both distortion and a wah pedal, so the VXT will get the call. |

Location: Phoenix | I will be gigging with my VXT tonight.
If there's one thing that this guitar needs: it would be a true two channel amp, already pre-wired with a stereo input jack, with one channel dedicated for the electric and one for the acoustic...each channel would have its own EQ, gain, etc. I may try using a powered PA head tonight instead of a guitar amp. |
