I am thinking that my 1537 just sits nowadays as the 2080 has taken over most of the playing duties.

So....hating to have anything just sitting, I thought if someone has a 1581 that they would trade (yes...I know, I would have to put up some cash) for my 1537, I might want to consider that.

It is the natural (wonderfully aged) finish. Flaws include one finish crack in the upper bout. Appears to be stable. A small 1-2mm dent above the low E string. And where someone put a small hole to move the back strap peg. One of the markers on the tone knob is missing, but these are just glue on's.

The Gold tuners are in excellent shape, action is low and light and electronics have always worked. Case is in great shape too with one latch attach rivet replaced with a sheet metal screw.

Anyway....not aggressively marketing and not ready to pony up for a 1587 yet, but let me know if you have an interest. email to:

jeffreyrdavis at yahoo dot com. to trade pics.

P.S. I am only doing this 'cause waskel says they sound better than my 1537 and 2080. :D

"Better" is in the ear of the beholder. Just play the 1537 more.
