Has anyone ever seen this? This music store is selling the entire collection of Collector's Series O's 1982-2005.

1982-2005 Collectors O\'s

I imagine if you have to ask how much, you can't afford it..

As unplayed, perhaps they should go to the Smithsonean or the Rock hall. maybe Fender's Museum will have an Ovation Collectors Wing.

I hate to say it, but in looking thru those guitars, there were, maybe, 4-6 of them that were really cool, but there were a lot of bow-wows in with them....

I agree ... Just calling a guitar a collector doesn't make me want to collect it. There are some nice ones there though.

Hmmm... now THIS is very odd. Maybe my memory is failing me but I distinctly remember about 2 years ago a "former" OFC member telling me how he had located an identical collection to this one, also at a music store up in Minnesota or North Dakota, and also unplayed with all the case candy etc. And how he rented a big van and drive up there and bought the whole collection. Now THAT is one heck of a coincidence, don't you think?

There's often a fine line between "coincidence" and "bullsh!t".

thanks. I think many members here forget the pure crap that came out of that man's mouth. every once in a while I hear another story about how that guy took advantage of one of our members and it makes me angry.

It looks like that website hadn't been updated since 2005. They have locations in 3 of the coldest places in the US. Wonder if they have a problem with finish cracks. I lived in ND for 3 years. Brrrr.

Guy reponded to an email and said he still has a few. Was it Jacobsen Music that took advantage of members?

I don't think there was any problem with Jacobsen, it was somebody else who claimed to have bought them, probably from Jacobsen.

I called Jacobsen about a year ago when I first found out about these. They may be sold by now. It was legit, and they were very friendly
