Location: Upper Left USA | I need to generate some income so I can support my habit and my Dealer from Jersey. If I take too long he may be inclined to call “someone, who knows someone”. So up for sale are a few items.
Prices include S&H&I in the 48 US. I will ship anywhere for an OFC Member, just let me know for an estimate. Pictures are in my Gallery and more will be sent to those that email me.
Payment Plans or pickup at the NW OFC Gathering this July can be negotiated.
Ocean Acoustic – Red MOB – from Witko’s harem to mine, added an OP40 and adjusted the action. Big Bright Red One with a nice fretboard and mid tone strength. Gig bag and Strap. $425.00
Ovation 1778LX-4, case, strap, TRC’s, OP Pro – This is one of the first LX’s – ordered from Al before they showed up in the Music Stores. This is the most playable, any-style guitar I have ever played. One ding on the top (@%&*!%&). $800.00
Viper Solidbody, has a Nutmeg Maple body with a Walnut Veneer PG, New Pots and a Blender to original Viper Pups. Body has some some dings. Maple neck. OHSC and leather strap. This one plays and sounds like the textbook Viper. I recommend this one for the player that needs to explore what a Viper can do! $495.00
Pre-Fender, Fender Starcaster – Black with Koa PG and Gig Bag. Great beginner/Gift or grab-n-play with a little embellishment. $245.00
Applause Acoustic Bass – I re-glued the broken neck and put on some Gold Tuners and a Preamp. Good practice Acoustic Bass. Gig bag and strap. $235.00 (shipping will hurt me due to length.
Custom ordered from Alpep, Elite LX 12 string, Contour bowl, OP Pro, Abalone inlay on bowl and FB, Awesome Bear Claw Spruce top (stretch marks or satin, you decide) and in natural. I believe this top was personally selected by Darrin at a time when it was popular to be a friend of Al Pepiak’s. This is set up well and plays superbly! If I let this go it will be replaced by an Adamas 12 string at least. OHSC, Strap, TRC’s, etc. $2200.00
Always ready to entertain offers, swaps, criticism and parts.
Looking for:
1537
2003 Collector
Adamas TT 12
Anything from W2's basement

Location: Feeding Hills, MA | I've been looking at Vipers on CL and the 'bay ever since I missed that one locally...any suggestions on a good one that's priced reasonably? ;) |

Location: closely held secret | 2stix, the one in the ad above is priced very reasonably. I (like many here) know Woody's work. It's not overpriced, and I'll wager it's in better playing condition than most Vipers you find on CL and the bay.
MWoody stands behind his work... (it's safer there) |

Location: Upper Left USA | I pack like Al and I offer the "Fix what I can Lifetime Gear-on-tee" for OFC Members.
"Stands behind..." I just got the flashback of Richard Pryor doing his "first Black President" skit... maybe we'll see that soon... |

Location: Feeding Hills, MA | I know, I've PM'ed woody about it, that was a little tongue-in-cheek, hence the wink. What I do need to know though, having never held a Viper is how the "feel" might compare to a Preacher, which I do have. I'm a little concerned (probably not exactly the right word) about the narrower nut width and whether it will be more difficult for a relative beginner with "fat" fingers to keep from muting adjacent strings.
Other than putting my fingers, as well as myself on a diet, i would appreciate your opinions.
Mike... |

Location: Upper Left USA | I tend to set my Vipers up with heavier strings to get a bluesy growl and cry. Rather like a Tele or a Les Paul but with a better neck. |

Location: Boise, Idaho | Do you mean to say that it's no longer popular to be a friend of Al Pepiak? I guess I'll give up then. I've wasted a life's worth of energy, trying to be popular. I'm never sarcastic either, unlike that Woody character. |

Location: Upper Left USA | I asked a Lawyer who I should hire to do my accounting. He told me I should interview those I get references for and ask them "How much is nine minus five?".
If they answer "four" they'd be alright and if they answer another number I should stay away.
Then he said that if one of them answers "How much are you paying and what do you want it to equal", that's the one!
Then ask him if my Ex-Wife still has those headaches!
Viper pickups through 250K pots are the best! You can tone them and color them any way you want with effects or amps but they give you what I think it the best palette to start with. |
