Location: South of most, North of few | Kind of been kicking this around for a while, but I figured I'd put it up and see what happens. For those who don't know, I had my 1614 at the factory for a refret and a crack fix on the top when it turned into replacing the body and top with a new FD unit.
So, what came from this is what I would consider the best of both. The 1614 neck is IMO one of the most playable Ovation has made in a wide neck configuration and I think the wood slothead looks killer.
The FD is legendary for it's cedar top sound and "woody" resonance. A great guitar all around. Also has the FD direct out electronics which add virtually no weight to the guitar yet produce an accurate plugged in sound that is true to the instrument. Available with the GC trussrod cover or the original plain one.
I was thinking 1000.00. Interesting full or partial trades welcome. |

| Beautiful guitar, and wonderful player. Someone should jump on this.
Personally, I'm waiting for when Jim unloads his 1658. Should be in, oh, a couple of weeks now ;) :D |

Location: Louisville, OH 44641 | This looks like a great deal on a great guitar. Someone here should grab it before it's too late. Oh, that could be me! Bout time I take a swing. I've bought and sold several Ovations I've really enjoyed but was never as sorry as when I sold my FD 14. Ouch, that one really hurt.
PM sent!

Location: Louisville, OH 44641 | That's right, the Jim to Jim Guitar Express. But TJ lives in the warmer south so it looks like I might have to pick this guitar up in person...at least that's what my wife wants to do. Stupid jobs...always getting in the way of my fun. |

(I haven't even got it boxed up yet and I miss it already. I'm going to have to play it a couple more times tonight) |
