Location: Winston-Salem, NC | Does anyone here have a 1768 Elite that they are considering selling? Here is my wish list for the one I am looking for:
natural finish
Optima preamp (or anything newer than the OP-24)
original case
My one stipulation is that I am looking for one in mint condition, or ideally as close to new as possible. I'm looking to spend around $500-600. |

| There was a cedar-top 1768 on ebay last week that didn't sell. It looked to be in excellent condition. It will probably be in the completed listings. Maybe it will relist at a lower price, but $600 for one of these would be a steal.
[It's still there, I just saw it] |

Location: GATLINBURG TENNESSEE :) | That Cedar Top one would be mine. I have two people presently waiting in line, but the price hasn't dropped. Actually, if the member here that's interested decides he can't get it, I will in all probability just keep it. I really don't want to part with it, but I DID tell him I'd give him a chance at it before I change my mind. |

How about one for sale somewhere locally to someone here on the board? |

Location: Winston-Salem, NC | Anyone? In addition to the 1768, I'd also be interested in an Adamas W597 or 1597 (with Optima preamp). |

I have a 1768-EMSX German special edition Vol. I, that I might consider selling. Engelman Spruce top, matching headstock, OP-X.

Far away from your announced price range (even more with our overseas prices), but sounds terrific, very collectable, dead mint - and maybe worth a thought.
My tip: Snatch Dave's Book Elite. These guitars are damn beautiful!

Thanks for the offers guys, but those are a little out of my price range. They are fabulous though.
Still looking for a mint 1768, W597 or 1597... |

Location: Phoenix AZ | You might want to try looking on ebay. There's usually about 50 Elites on there at any given time.

| Here\'s
one in burst on eBay right now with 4 days to go and only $102 at this point. Was listed as a 1778, but seller later corrected it and identified it as a 1768. |

Location: Cincinnati | there's a 1768 Cedar at the Guitar Center in Cincinnati. I didn't do thorough exam but the only flaw I really saw was one the epaulettes had been glued together. The salesman said they would take $700 for it and it included a case. |

Location: Phoenix AZ | Maybe you should contact the seller and ask him all about the guitar and based on those answers you could weigh the pros and cons of this particular instrument and decide if this is a good choice for you or not. Dave |
