Location: Huntington Beach, CA | Lately tried several Ovations and one in particular, although the low-end of US made Ovations, really appeals to me. Prefer natural to burst finish but either will do.
If you have such an animal and are interested in selling/trading (or know someone that does), please let me know. You can reach me through the board or at dkdobrow@hotmail.com. Thanks. |

Location: Huntington Beach, CA | I get the feeling either no one likes these or has one they're interested in selling/trading. They are actually pretty cool. Very woodsey sounding, no frills and very comfortable. Anyway, if you know someone who has one and they're interested in selling, I'm very interested, motivated and it's probably within my budget. Thanks folks. |

Location: Huntington Beach, CA | Stupid of me. I found this guitar in Albany but given how Craig's List works, I can't complete the deal without risking the money by paying in advance. Not only may I get a guitar that isn't in acceptable condition but I may not get a guitar at all!
If anyone runs across an S778, I'd appreciate a PM. Thanks.

| Shelly, Or Don?? Craigslist is great for local sales, distance buys are risky. I think from the first set of photo's I saw of this guitar there were a couple of small dings on the top. this would expalin the price. but no matter it is a good price but still a risk. If I get time I can check it out for you but not sure when I can do this and even then I really hate to get involved in buying and shipping this so your still taking a risk no matter who looks at it. I would say these are around, wait until you find one closer to you. I'd hate to say I think the guitar looks pretty good and you don't agree when you get it and all that if you see my point.

Location: Huntington Beach, CA | Thank you to all that read my request for a specific model Elite, and those that offered to help with a deal I had working in upstate NY.
I'm very pleased to announce that I found just what I was looking for from an OFC member, received the instrument yesterday and am thrilled with it. xnoel is a gem amoung this fine board, honest and forthright and I am blessed to have received exactly what I was looking for, perfectly described and in better condition than I expected. Thanks Noel.
I have seen may fine guitars come through this portal and highly recommend checking in from time to time... as I intend to do. Meanwhile, I will enjoy my Elite Special, a model that has what I consider all the many features that set Ovation apart from the world.
A heartfeal thank you to all that helped me with this and especially Pegleg Dog Hopkins, and his son.

Location: Huntington Beach, CA | The search is over thanks to xnoel. I have a beautiful, woodsy sounding S778 in exceptional condition and am enjoying it daily. Don't know how to close this out but thanks to everyone for your help and please consider this issue concluded.
