Jason_S,

I always thought they were 1 7/8 at the nut, too. But my metal ruler that measures down to 1/64 reads 1 13/16 at the nut with a string spacing (center E to center E) of 1 9/16......

My "actual mileage" does vary. Everything I have seen and/or read shows the nut width spec to be 1-7/8".

But mine actually measures a little less than that. Maybe it is from age (mine or the guitar's) or use or maybe it was just made that way.

Anyway, however one measures it, it is at least 1-13/16" and may be 1-7/8".

Thanks for your input, observations, advice and knowledge.

Now, who wants this awesome guitar????????? Cash or trade for 0, 00, 000 or OM style guitar or accoustic or tube amps.

bigB,

I thought this thread was dead and consequently deleted your pics off photobucket. If you'll send 'em again I'll put 'em back up.

Iffy,

Thanks for your advice, help and support. It took a little longer to sell than I expected, but good things come to those who wait.

Again, thanks,
B
