Location: North Carolina | With bands lasting a long time and doing endless comeback tours, there are usually personnel changes. A lot of current band members weren't even born when the band first hit. Many of them got the gig by being in the right place, right time. I've often thought it would be cool to get a call to play with some of them.
But not all. Some of them, uh, yeah, well I'm busy right now.
Well, it's been a growing list, but yesterday morning I saw Counting Crows on A&E's "Private Sessions". Yeah, if Adam Duritz calls I'm letting the machine get it. |

Even more ridiculous than they looked.
BTW, I'm talking about Benny and Bjorn. |

| any (c)rap, even 'tho it's simplistic enough that even I could hold my own playing the 2 chords on the beat.
or, Phish - I just don't think I could smoke that much weed anymore. |

(any band desperate enough to need Me to play, I wouldn't wanna listen to...)
I believe Black Sabbath used to tour with No Original Members.
And Lynyrd Skynyrd is real close to that...
[There is something really annoying about them trying to do "Free Bird" exactly like that one recorded Live concert...
'Play it pretty for Atlanta' and 'How about you'...] |

What a classy looking band! That percussionist looks like he's really on top of things! Well, on top of something. Actually, it looks like he's uncomfortable and may just be sitting on something..... |

My son (the death metal fan) can call me old, but I couldn't put up with the vocals. Sorry if anyone is a fan, but most of the song names make me want to loose my breakfast. Advanced Corpse Tumor comes to mind....ooops...gotta run...

Another one was Limp Bizkit. When they were auditioning for a Wes Boreland's replacement, and I refused to take part in it - it very nearly caused a divorce between my wife and myself. True story - and I didn't go.
I saw Creedence Clearwater Re-visited a few nights ago, and they were excellent. They no longer have Elliot Easton on lead guitar, but the guy who replaced him is excellent. I'd LOVE to have that job! |
