My recent purchase is my first ovation since 1991 when my legend was stolen and replaced by the HD 28. The Low's and the Mids are great but my ear says the high e and b do not have the same punch. I have not yet upgraded the nut or saddle and I hope that will help but it should also help the Lows and Mids as well.

Any other suggestions? It it strung w/D'Aders. PhsBronze Mediums.

Try a set of Dean Markley Alchemy Bronze...the 12/54's have great punch! It's all I use on my FD-14 and I get consistently great output...Regards~

Have you listened to it when somebody else plays it? Sometimes they sound weak on the highs to the player, but not to the listener.
