Location: Winter Haven, FL | Since getting my 2778LX a while back, I've found myself playing my other flat top guitars much less frequently. As such, I sold my Taylor and Composite Acoustics Legacy to fund the purchase of a new archtop. It's a Hofner Jazzica Vintage...one of 50 made with a hand rubbed violin finish. It's a solid carved top, German made masterpiece. I love this thing.

ProfessorBB...
The only dark thing on this guitar that isn't ebony is the pickup ring...
fretboard, headstock veneer, truss rod cover, pickguard, tailpiece, knobs, bridge, tuner buttons...
it even comes with ebony soundhole covers (backed with foam) to cut down on feedback at high volume settings.

| I've played several (but not the violin stained model) and I love 'em.
The amped sound is fabulous - I love those Hofner minibuckers.
The only downside is that Hofner don't always have the greatest quality control on their finishing so you have to look carefully at the one you're going to buy. This one looks like a beauty.
Notice how the body tapers tailpiece to neck to make it more comfortable to hold?
Very nice. |
