Location: South of most, North of few | OK, I know it's been a couple of weeks since I've sold something, so it's time to move a guitar. Up next is this really nice example of a '68 Glen Campbell 12 string.
When I got this one, it needed a little attention. I took the Kluson tuners off, cleaned all the funk out of them, and re lubed them with a small grease gun. Installed a new set of Elixir .010 strings. Now everything works as it should.
There are no cracks in the top finish as all, and it comes with a purple lined OHSC. Virtually no fret wear and plays like butter. Beautiful winged bridge, it appears this guitar has not been played that much. I'm just not a 12 string kind of guy.
Anyone interested, pm me and we can talk price. You won't find a nicer example of a 40 year old Ovation anywhere. I won't rule out interesting trades. |

Man, you're about three days late. I've got one due in this week. I doubt it will be as nice as that beaut of yours though... |

Location: Boise, Idaho | Will you guys please just keep a few of these nice guitars down in Florida for awhile, so that if I ever get down there again, I can check them out? I only need one 12 string, but someday I'd like to upgrade. Right now it's very low on the priority scale. |

Location: Jet City | Actually I think it is earlier than 70. The label in my '70 is blue. |

Location: South of most, North of few | The Ovation website shows serial number 1000- up, '67 (nov)-'68 (july) (4 digits black ink no letter prefix). The next entry is 10000-up, '70 (feb)-'72 (may) (5 digits, black ink no letter prefix). This would lead me to believe it's an early '69. |

Location: Phoenix AZ | The GC12 / 1118 happened in about 5 different steps.
1) shiny bowl, small soundhole, inlaid rosette, wing bridge, GC signature
2) shiny bowl, regular soundhole, inlaid rosette, wing bridge, GC signature
3) shiny bowl, regular soundhole, stick on rosette, wing bridge, no signature
4) textured bowl, regular soundhole, stick on rosette, wing bridge, no signature
5) textured bowl, regular roundhole, stick on rosette, plain bridge, no signature
Jim's guitar is genreation 4 and is probably 1970. There's a lot of gaps in the serial number reference.

Jim, rest assured,..I am insane. |
