Location: Vernon CT | Hey all, I was finally able to meet a fellow OFC member when I went to See PEZ play at a local Open Mike last night. I loved his "Luthier song" about guitars/builders. It was a nice evening and I'm hoping to play in 3 weeks with my buddy Chris and our "singer" Jill. Hope to meet more of you in the future!!! |

Location: New South Wales, Australia | Well done BT717. I too have just met my first OFC member. Caught up with Muzza last Saturday and had a great time. It's a bit harder down here as I think there's only 5 or 6 Aussie OFC members. Hopefully there'll be a time soon when the entire Aussie membership will be able to get together. |

We are planning another Hawaii trip in 2 years (says my daughter and son-in-law, Lord willing) so let's find at least a few minutes to have a cup of Kona and share OFC lies. You will definately need to bring a guitar though, as my last trip to the Islands (last year), I went looking for a rental guitar to get a fix, and couldn't find one. First thing I did when I got home was run down stairs and pick up each guitar and played it. |

SWMBO would love to come along for an OFC Gathering in Hawaii, although she hasn't expressed any interest in attending the others. Next year is Germany, though, so Hawaii is at least a couple years off. |

The only time the strap comes off my Adamas is when it goes in the case, so I'm fairly safe as long as I get the case on before AJ gets to it. I think AJ has more Ovations than the rest of the Aussie members put together. |

There was video taken of our event, but I think it is being screened by the FBI or Homeland Security or something like that. |

Location: Sydney, Australia | I went in to the tourist information centre in LaFayette La. (well below the banjo line) about 25 years ago to ask for directions. In response to my question, the man behind the counter said "Aruh nyah beglomph grohp?" (or something similar).
There was a TV in the corner and I could understand every word coming out. I presume the staff members could also understand it (else why have it on?) so how come I couldn't understand a word they said and vice versa? |
