He sez... "The guitar is in perfect condition except for the input jack that I took it upon myself to fix via gluing a Nintendo controller to the jack. It works fine. I don't know why I did it, it was a long time ago."
This made me ill, so I thought I would share my annoyance! :p |

But I sure ain't paying $400 (or $650) to find-out, 'specially since I've seen nice ones go for less!

Location: Colorado Rocky Mountains | This ended up being a darned good project guitar in which a number of us actually took some small part during the PNW Fan Gathering. I mostly (1) looked over Mr. Big's shoulder as he reconstructed and soldered all the electronics, (2) picked things up off the floor on his behalf, and (3) listened to him grouse about not having needle nose pliers. This was a great demonstration and the guitar is now in two or three times better shape. Many of us would be proud to call it our own. |

Is that the rehabed guitar at the top of this page? You are kidding! Looks great. |

Location: Boise, Idaho | A couple hours' work and a plethora of cuss words by Al the Solder Guy. I got to scrape with a razor blade and never cut anyone, so it was a very successful restoration. Still needs an original bridge pickup, I think, but he might have to send it back to Al for soldering. |

Location: Boise, Idaho | Actually, I don't remember any cursing. There would have been if I had been soldering. All I can remember is hoping you'd lean over and get your hair caught in the solder. And it did work the first time. Looks pretty good, too. |

Proved that the wiring and electronics need not be as scary as one might think.
I certainly learned something.
