| Hi, this is a 2006 Collings DS-2HA in absolutely pristine condition. The guitar has a custom 1 and 3/4" nut width. Retail price for this guitar is currently $5025.
This is the nicest Adirondack top I have ever seen. Very consistent and straight grain. The Indian Rosewood back and sides are perfect as well and beautifully matched.
The Brazilian Rosewood peghead overlay is quite remarkable as well.
The projection, tone, and bass response is above and beyond what you would ever imagine. The Adirondack top adds just the right amount of sparkle to keep the guitar well balanced but incredibly powerful. A sound sample is available, so please email me for that or for larger pictures.
The previous owner had some very very light pick marks just outside the pick guard, but they have basically polished out and some Novus polish would certainly eliminate them. Other than this, the guitar is dead mint and I mean perfect (no dings and no scratches)
Fret wear is typical for a 2 year old guitar that has been played.
Original factory hard shell case included in excellent condition as well.
Price is $3550 shipping included

TJ, this might be a good one for you to consider! (drool)....yes it would. To bad it's the same configuration as my Martin, and not to mention I just dumped a ton of cash on the Larry Florentine cutaway. |

| Jim, you have a Martin with an Adirondack top and 1 and 3/4" nut?
Thanks to all for the complements on the Collings.
This always has been a friendly forum. |

This is the guitar that convinced me to sell my Martin HD-28VS and never look back (and that was a really good one!) |

This always has been a friendly forum. Sorry, the Martin has a bearclaw top. I meant the 1 3/4 nut, slot head, 12 fret, slope shoulder dred configuration. One of the the best sounding guitars acoustically (to me) I have played. I know Tup would agree too. I'm sure the Collings would sound as good or better. |

| You guys all have impeccable taste in guitars. I just played this one a bit ago and started feeling like Bilbo giving up the ring.
Jim, I am impressed that your Martin is 1 and 3/4". Seems like most of the Martin slots that I get to play have the wider neck. The Martin Norman Blake is a nice guitar, but has the wide neck. Same thing with the Ditson Dread. Was yours a custom order? |
