Location: Blue Ridge Mountains | I hate to do it but I am building my recording studio and need to part with a couple to pay the bills...so....
1. 1983 1537-4 This guitar is so sweet: probably the nicest sounding Ovation I have...Near Mint: factory repaired usual 1537 top crack between the bridge and fret board: expertly repaired and stabilized from the inside by John and Co. That is the only issue on the guitar and you can hardly see it...This guitar is extremely nice and plays and sounds fantastic! Includes original brown case.
Pictures are here: 1537
$1000 + shipping (USPS Priority)special price to OFC members until Wednesday and then to the bay @ $1150 BIN.
2. 1987-5 Collectors in Mint Condition! Absolutely Gorgeous! One of the finest I have ever seen and played! Rare Black finish (#55 of 100). Newer Black Case and factory set-up. I hate to let it go but I can't keep them all (Right TJ?). This guitar sounds fantastic and you will not find a nicer one!
Pictures here: \'87C-5
$1100 plus shipping (USPS Priority) to OFC members. After Wednesday it goes to the bay w/ $1250 BIN.
Get 'em while they're hot and best wishes! |

87C's show up rarely and while there have been a surprising amount of 1537's show up in the last couple of months, you never know when the next long dry spell is gonna hit.
Somebody should be grabbing these before they go to the bay! |

Location: Boise, Idaho | This really hurts. The 83 goes to the oldest daughter next month. In order to treat the youngest daughter equally, she will get the 87 when she turns 25 in 4 years. I was drooling over Miles' Book as a replacement and then this comes up. I hope that there will be a suitable replacement in 4 years.
The truth is that I finally broached the subject of wanting a LAV Koa Collector yesterday and received permission. The actual quotation was "I don't get it" which was followed by my listing a bunch of stuff she buys that I don't get. Close enough. Then the tuition bill for next year arrived in the mail. I need more payment plans. |

| Nice guitars, very fair prices! If that collectors was a 12 string I'd be all over it.
Somebody is going to kick themselves for not getting this.
What are ya waiting for.

The problem when you have a collection of really nice guitars is it's difficult to let one go. Priorities are a difficult thing to deal with!
But, that's life!
And one thing I do know: there are always more guitars!
 |
